2017 Museum Gala

Saturday, June 10 • 6:00pm - 10:00pm

The Grand Garden Gala will be held on the grounds of a beautiful private home in Loudonville, New York on Saturday, June 10th. Please join us to celebrate our honoree Ellen Jabbur and her many years of service and philanthropy to the museum.

This year’s fundraiser will help support our fall exhibition which will highlight a selection of the Institute’s finest collection of Victorian costumes and accessories.

Hold your breath as you watch the Belmont Stakes. Enjoy a delicious dinner by Mazzone Catering. Dance the night away to the sounds of Silver Arrow Band.

The annual Gala is the museum’s most significant fundraiser, and provides support to our education programs and exhibitions. There are several ways to support this year’s event:

RECEPTION Albany-Nijmegen: The Sister-City Initiative

This year is the 70th anniversary of war-relief for the people of the City of Nijmegen in the Netherlands and it is a history tied to the City of Albany’s Tulip Festival.

Join us as we host a special reception honoring that relationship. Enjoy delicious hors d’oeuvres, drinks, and music performed by the Musicians of Ma’alwyck.

Special guests include Mayor Kathy Sheehan, Paul Grondahl, and Anja Adriaans, founder and chair of Stichting FAN: Friendship Albany-Nijmegen .

Beer & The Erie Canal: 2017 Hudson Valley Hops

This fun, regional craft beer tasting is a fundraiser for the Albany Institute of History & Art and it's an opportunity for the community to see brewing and distilling artifacts from the museum's collection, hear from industry experts, and receive a commemorative glass.
